Walk to Defeat ALS – November 5

New Clinical Trial

We started the new clinical trial last month.  It is a stage III trial sponsored by Knopp pharmaceuticals and Biogen.  It is a global stud involving more than 800 participants.  It is testing the effectiveness of dexpramipexole on slowing ALS disease progression.  It is a 12 month study, so cross your fingers crossed…

Re-Activating the Blog

Hello everyone – we apologize for not updating this blog in the last several months. We are now reactivating this blog, and we intend to update it with shorter but more frequent entries. During the first half of 2011, we completed participation in a stage II clinical trial sponsored by The Methodist Neurological Institute. As a result, we have become very good friends with one of the other participants and his wife, Glen and Bobbie Wesley of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We will also be starting an exciting new stage III clinical trial later this month. The study is sponsored by Biogen, is a global study, and is testing the effectiveness of Dexpramipexole.
